Description: This slender, elegant and dainty staff/cane is presented on a custom metal display stand. It features fine two-tone weaving in geometric patterns covering two thirds of its shaft, having 5 bands of red ocher decoration. Condition is excellent and fiber is tightly woven with no loss or breakage. The handle has openwork with divided riser sections incised with triangles infilled with lime surmounted by a ball handle. Warm mellow patina. It was likely used as an orator's staff or prestige staff.
