FINE 19TH C. Lobbed Fijian ULA Throwing CLUB

Description: This slender elegant early example has a lovely tight head with tired lobes! It is among the oldest in the group. Its shaft is not linear but meanders and wanders along its length. Its handgrip has 5 inches of worn chip carving. The club has strong "mana" and was used for generations. The butt of its handle is dimpled and recessed, suggesting it may have had an ivory inlay at some point. Fine condition with strong color and patina. Presented on a custom stand.
