Materials: Reddish Hardwood
Description: This Mimika ancestor figure strongly resembles a Korwar figure. The abstract figure is seated with elbows resting on the knees and hands holding a vertical post connected at the chin. It has carefully formed relief-carved ears with all the familiar and classical Mimika features and motifs. Look at the amount of "negative space" in this impressive example as well as the old adze cuts and tools marks! In good condition showing wear and use with minor chips and scratches.
