Pair of 18th C. Hawaiian Sling Stones Weapons
Origin: Northern Polynesia, Hawaii Provenance: Purchased by a Los Angeles collector from Mauna Kea Galleries (Mark Blackburn) HI 20 years ago. Previous old collection numbers.

Description: These were placed in the web of a woven fiber sling and thrown at small game and enemies with great velocity and accuracy. The football shape example has residual red clay or pigments in the low areas. Old collection numbers 189, 200B
