Description: This classic "bowai" pole club is a handsome example with rich color and beautiful tiger-like woodgrain. It has a flared hand with deeply carved geometric panels. This is among the most popular fighting clubs in the Fijian culture. It was also used in religious divination ceremonies where the club was stood up on its butt and if it fell over it was a bad omen. In good condition showing normal wear from use.
