Period/Date: At least early 19th C., (Likely 18th judging from the were and advanced patination)

Description: This is a classic early "gata" is a special example. There is complex geometric dotting motifs spanning 34 inches of its shaft from spur to grip region! The heaviest boldest patterns are on the spur while the lighter patterns are on the lower shaft where it was handled the most. In the spur region there is a rich variation of designs of Chevrons, triangles and checkers. This club was surely seen battle and has minor OLD loss on the side of its striking spur and also to its pommel. Its advanced use patina is noteworthy and is a dark reddish- brown turning to black in some areas! A custom stand maybe ordered for an additional fee.
