Description: Seen here are a pair of extremely rare high quality New Caledonian Spears. One Spear has a carefully sculpted barbed tip, which section measures 29 inches. The other has a lovely relief-carved mask. Its detail is superb considering it is just 2 inches in length. Both spears have carved decoration and amazing patination. There is some very old slight loss to the tip of the barbed spear. It is amazing these spears have survived all this time without being cut! Due to the length of the spears (9 feet) it was only possible to show detailed cross sections as seen below.
Dimensions: Length 9 feet 1" (277 cm), and 8 feet 5" (256.5 cm), Width approx. 3/4"- 1.25"
