It originally had red pigment and or paint underneath its impressive encrusted and layered surface patina. There are two interesting raised horn-like bumps on the forehead. There are numerous pierced holes around the perimeter. In good condition for its age but with some old loss to the back rim and edges. The wood is extremely old which is noteworthy. It has a very strong presence in person with a magnificent patina. Presented on a custom display stand.
