Description: This Gope board is "Deeply" carved and is presented on a custom metal display stand. It is published in Hamson's exhibition catalog "Red Eye of the Sun, The Art of the Papuan Gulf". It was carved from the side of an old canoe and its surface is slightly convex. Some loss and erosion to the bottom where it had contact with the ground. See full catalog description.
