Description:   This elegant and dainty knobkerrie club is presented on a custom metal base.  It not only served as an effective striking weapon but would have also been an important prestige object as well.  Its beautifully formed head with four raised oval lobes has an impressive level of refinement!  The wirework on its shaft is tightly bound.   There are some minor old hairline cracks in the shaft as well as some dings and dents in the head that would be expected on a piece of this age.  This superb club is a testimony to the skill, artistry and old-world craftsmanship of its owner.  NOTE:  The photos are a bit hot and over exposed.  In person, the club has a darker mellower patina.
