CLASSIC UGANDAN WICKER SHIELD IN EXCELLENT CONDITION

Origin:   Uganda, North of Lake Victoria, Soga People   (Provenance: Acquired from an old collection in Nova Scotia)

Period/Date:  Circa 1900-1920

Materials: rattan, wood, hide

Description:  This classic wicker shield is in exceptionally fine condition.  There is old writing in pencil inside the back of the handle.  There are a few old insect holes through the wicker but it is pristine otherwise!  Sure to be a welcome addition to any collection.
