Irwin Hersey Collection New York, Author of Indonesian Primitive Art) Period/Date: Mid 20th century Materials: hardwood, magical substances, resin, vegetable stain Description: This female fetish still has a medicine charge embedded into the top of the head. She has facial scarification with hands resting on the abdomen. The feet are carved apart with is often a characteristic of early pieces. She is presented on a wood base and is in good condition except for some loss to the left foot. Warm honey colored patina from age and use.
