RARE SOLOMON BARBED FIGHTING SPEAR W/ TWO FIGURES

Description:  This impressive spear has bold yet elegant barbs.  It features dual back-to-back figures.  These important dog-like figures with elongated face and nose were guardian spirits who reigned over men and afforded protection in battle.  It has acquired a dark rich patina turning to black.  and is in excellent condition except for some old loss to the tip.  (Note:  Due to the length of the spear and shipping complications from Europe, its shaft has been strategically "step cut" but can be easily rejoined if desired.  To save on shipping costs the buyer will have the option of having the spear rejoined or in pieces.  Spears can be difficult to display so buyer may wish to order a custom stand)
