"THE JUNE 2009 BRUNEAF TRIBAL FAIR IN BRUSSELS"

In the event that Tribalmania is not in attendance at a particular event,  we rely on photos donated by others, who are very generous with their time and contributions.  We're aware that many dealers have benefited directly or indirectly from the photos posted.  In those instances where sales have occurred it is rewarding to know when a buyer and seller were brought together, and we would hope that the dealers involved appreciate those who have made these transactions possible, particularly in this economic environment.

One of the most peculiar masks in the fair??  Wait that's no mask!  A local bakery artfully displayed three rum cakes with a formed wrapper to grab attention.

Congo Gallery, Joelle Fiess & Marc Felix

Congo Gallery had the most creative window display.  Situated in a jungle-like environment sits this 19th c. iron animal, Karagwe, Tanganyika

Marc Felix always ready for a St. Patricks Day toast.  (Yes, those are matching green snakeskin cowboy boots Y'all!)

Dalton Somare', hmm... hopefully the Vigorelli family can account for the piece missing from its base (lower left)

Our reporter Sam Singer reaches into his pockets but finds he is out of money.  It must be the end of the show!

Sam, special thanks for sharing your photos with the Tribalmania visitors.  In addition, we thank Clive Loveless for contributing his photos!!

If you have photos of a fair or event let us know and we'll try and use them
