GROUP OF 10 PHILIPPINE BARBED FIGHTING SPEARS

 

Origin:  Philippines, N. Luzon, Bontoc, Kalinga, Ifugao people    (Provenance: Acquired from various collections in the USA)

Period/Date:  Late 19th to early 20th century

Materials:  Hardwood, iron, rattan, brass, copper, red plant dye

Description:  Here's group of 10 fighting spears from various Cultures in N. Luzon.  There are several very fine and hard to find examples.  Number 5 is extremely good with beautiful intact woven rattan having a massive pair of barbs measuring 9.5" wide.  Number 9 is the most sought after and features brass inlay arranged in patterns to match the tattooing worn by the warrior.

Dimensions:   Length 52-76 inches

Price:   A 10 percent discount is offered for a second spear and 20 percent for 3 or more.    Shipping will be charged separately for overseas orders.
