Materials: hardwood

Description:  A classic Bird Head club "go porowa ra maru".   This example is smooth to the touch and shows extensive wear and use with a gorgeous patina and dark rich color.  In good condition with some minor old loss to edge of the back neck region.  The tools marks on the wood suggest that coral rasping and stone polishing was used for the finishing work.
