Description:   This Fabulous Hat Dates from the Early 20th Century, and is made from Straw, and is interwoven with Purple Silk Floss, the Floss fringing protrudes on the outside and inside about 3/4" in Little Pompon Tufts. The Brim is Fringed with Silk Tassels and the Crown has tiny metal sequins that are attached to the strands of silk that run from the edge of the Brim to a Large  Pompon on the center of the Crown.  A newer Hat can be seen at the bottom which are always decorated in Wool or Synthetic Yarn.  It should be noted that black and red is the most common, so this example in bold purple would be considered scarce!
