Description:   Here's an elegant sword of a stylized human figure presented on a custom metal display stand.  It was used as a status and prestige weapon.  The hand forged iron blade is skillfully worked and shows hammer marks.  Later reproductions  were often cut with machine tools from sheet steel.   There are decorative iron or lead crimped bands around the top of the wood handle.    In good condition with some minor rust and pitting.  The surface appears to have been cleaned at some point which has helped to preserve it.   It is a terrific African form which is a tribute to the Blacksmith's skill, artistry, and vision.
