Description:  This classic undecorated warrior's shield is called a "kelabit".  It is a clean pure form and has an attractive handle.   is the best quality I've had in a years.   It is reinforced by ten horizontal bands of bound rattan which kept the wood from splintering apart when struck by a Spear or Mandau sword.  The binding is beautifully intact having only slight losses.  It is in fine condition showing obvious battle use.  There is an old chip to the top and also a stable minor crack.
