Origin:  Brazilian Amazon, Krikretum Tribe  (Provenance: Acquired from The National Indian Foundation known as "ARTINDIA FUNAI".  FUNAI an acronym for Fundacao Nacional do Indio.    This government agency is in charge of defending and guaranteeing the interests and the rights of the Indians)

Description:  The club bears an inventory tag from the "Funai" agency Number 4014 identifying the club's tribe and origin.  The heavy club is carved from an indigenous dark reddish hardwood.  Its woven handgrip measures 13" long overall an is made of lengths of two tone bark fiber, skillfully woven to form attractive geometric patterns.  There are some faints bands of reddish pigment on one side of the club.  In good condition with a few loose pieces of bark fiber with one chip and two hairline cracks at the butt.  A rare specimen seldom see for sale.
